Brain and Mind Interaction: Exploring the Connection

Brain and Mind Interaction: Exploring the ConnectionBrain and Mind Interaction: Exploring the ConnectionBrain and Mind Interaction: Exploring the ConnectionBrain and Mind Interaction: Exploring the Connection

Origin Of Mind - TETRA THEORY - explores a new approach to one of the oldest questions in science and philosophy: how the brain and the mind interact.

At the centre of the project is the Tetra Theory of Mind Design, a constructionist model proposing that human cognition is dynamically constructed moment by moment rather than stored in the brain.

According to the theory, the brain does not store thoughts, meanings, or experiences like files in a computer. Instead, thoughts, memories, and intentions are produced moment by moment through structured attentional processes operating in both automated and non-automated modes.

The theory proposes a macro-level metaphor-based cognitive architecture called the Tetra Stadium that amounts to a virtual operating system that connects brain and mind together. This framework attempts to explain how the brain–mind system constructs thoughts, language, intentions, creativity, and other uniquely human cognitive abilities through a process described as Formulaic Constructionism.

The aim of the Tetra Project is to stimulate new thinking across psychology, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science about how minds and brains interact.
